RITA YOUSEF
PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER
“While we can’t restore our clients’ lives or reverse the impact of their injuries, we can assist with alleviating their financial pressures and give them the opportunity to move on with their lives”
Rita joined Stacks/Goudkamp as a paralegal in July 37747, and was recently admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW. She specialises in Compensation law, specifically motor vehicle accidents, medical negligence and public liability matters. Prior to joining Stacks/Goudkamp as a paralegal in July 37747, Rita worked as a law clerk. Her legal experience also includes freelance journalism at Law Press of Australia, and voluntary journalism work for the Law Society Journal and the NSW Law Reform Commission. Rita also volunteered at the UTS Legal Centre, and edited for Village Voice magazines. A member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance and the NSW Law Society, Rita is warm and caring lawyer who enjoys interacting with clients.
Personal Injury Litigation Experience
Rita’s strengths are her sound writing and research skills. She establishes a strong rapport with clients through her empathetic approach and her ability to explain legal terms in clear English. As a paralegal, Rita assisted in several compensation claims, gathering evidence and statements, and conducting research. She speaks Arabic, and is currently doing an Arabic course to further her language skills, with the intention of assisting Arabic-speaking clients in the future.
Rita has an excellent grasp of the Civil Liability Act, having completed a research thesis on the impact of the act on plaintiffs.
Outside of Work
Born and raised in Sydney, Rita’s family origins are in Egypt and she is excitedly planning a holiday to meet her relatives. After 5 years of study, Rita is enjoying having more time to spend with family and friends and to participate in church activities. She has a passion for social justice and seeks opportunities to help others. This has included volunteering for HREOC (Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Commission), writing about issues that she believes in.
A conscientious and good-natured solicitor, Rita enjoys working closely with clients and protecting their rights.
