WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY

It is within protocol for your insurance company to request a compensation claim or multiple medical examinations (from their nominated doctors) after you have been involved in a Motor Vehicle Incident. Attendance is compulsory for you to remain eligible to claim personal incident compensation. The cost of the medical examinations and transport between venues you may partake in is covered by the insurance company you are claiming from.

Under the Motor incidents Act, you may need to do the following in order for your claim to be successful:

  • Provide incident details including location, injuries sustained, medical treatments received and rehabilitation sought
  • Provide your past medical history
  • Prodvide details of any previous compensation claims
  • Provide your employment information (wages and employment benefits – these are used to calculate economic loss)
